Yes, minor damage to a CEREC crown can often be repaired. If your CEREC same-day crown in Arvada, CO has a small chip or crack, Dr. Jenkins may be able to fix it with composite resin bonding right here in our office.
When Repair Works and When Replacement Makes Sense
Small chips and minor cracks are often, but not always, repairable. Dr. Jenkins can apply a tooth-colored resin material to fill the damaged area, then reshape and polish it to blend with the rest of your crown. This quick fix can extend your crown's lifespan and save you time and money. However, significant damage usually calls for replacement. Large cracks, decay beneath the crown, or a poor fit mean the restoration can no longer protect your tooth properly. The good news is that CEREC technology lets us create a new crown the same day, so that you won't need a temporary crown or multiple appointments.
If you notice pain, sensitivity, or visible damage to your crown, contact our office right away. Waiting too long can put the underlying tooth at risk.
