We agree that it can be a challenge to understand what’s covered and what’s not under your dental insurance. Benefits vary widely from company to company and even plan to plan.
Unfortunately, most don’t cover dental implants as they’re considered to be cosmetic procedures. There are some exceptions to this, of course, so it is always best to speak directly with your specific insurance company. We also have very knowledgeable staff at our Arvada dental office who will be happy to help you determine what your benefits are.
Some dental plans will cover a portion of the tooth restoration—crown, bridge, or denture—that we place on the implant. Also, if there are medical reasons related to your tooth loss, your health insurance may offer some benefit.
The good news is that many insurance companies are beginning to see the importance of tooth implants. Some even offer separate plans that specifically cover part of the cost of implants.
Financial Options for Dental Implants
If your insurance does not cover implants, we also have financing options that can help. CareCredit offers no-interest and low-interest payment plans that let you spread the cost of your procedure over several months. Five Parks Dental also offers in-house financing on a case-by-case basis, and a member of our team will be happy to discuss this option with you.
If you are considering implants, please call our Arvada dental office, and we will be happy to answer your questions.
